Well, Jeff is on Whelp Duty now as I set up the whelp area upstairs next to our bed. Here are two very tired girls seeking solace of a good lap to grow puppies on.

Have a cute picture of Jory to share! Jory was fresh from a grooming, shown here with her mom. Personally, bows drive me crazy as they are suppose to look Teddy Bear cut, even when short. I don’t think I recall Paddington or Pooh with a ear bow? I was not going to say anything but Heidi stated, you know, bows just don’t suit the look? I agree.

Luna appeared on the front page for Portland’s pet portrait service, four legged photo. It was so cute, I had to share:

Muse should be a couple of days after Daisy and it looks like 4 or 5 puppies. I will try to draw circles, but what we can tell you is it all looks good!

We are past the safe date for Daisy’s pending whelp. Meaning the date that a future whelp will survive (day 58).

Now the watch begins. Since I have learned a watched doodle never whelps I decided to do a doodle of Daisy. Bear in mind, this is my first pencil sketch and I did it on the back of a manila folder.

I am also going through our whelp supplies, washing blankies,making my lists and checking my calendar for timelines of puppy development. 

Muse had her xray and it looks like 4 or 5 as well so this should be a kick!

Here it is! Today Jeff took Daisy to our vets to get her xray.  Wednesday is Muse’s xray. Life is about to get very busy with the pitter patter of paws. Very exciting!!!! We think we have a possible 5 puppies; but I will let you be the judge. Here is the first picture for the litter. We think it will be this next weekend or Monday. Kind of fitting labor day for Daisy really means “labor day”. May God Bless them all!

I had the most wonderful time this last Saturday. I was invited to the happy celebration of 1 year old “babies” of Belle and Chief. After finally finding the Wilsonville Dog Park I was lucky enough to visit the puppies and their owners and look each into their eyes.

Good to see who they have become, who they were, and who they are becoming!

Thanks to Luna’s family to putting it all together.  From emails a good time was had by all (including the doodles of course).

Blossom (Daisy) is blossoming; waddling as she gets closer to whelp. Such a sweetheart.

I will try to get more current pictures this weekend. But, since there are several “Daisy” girls I thought I would add a picture of her. Her “paper” name is Blossom, but daughter calls her “Miss Daisy”.
