Well, 7 weeks going on 8 this Thursday!Busy week with Mothers day added to the mix. Izzy has flown the coop, heading back with her Guardian family who has missed her! She has weaned the puppies and now they are ready to socialize with the rest of the pack.

She has come up to check in with them which was a nice visit and the boys sneak to grab a drink at the milk bar that has closed. Izzy on her return visit we see had a spa day and we can see that she is returning to her old self after her first voyage into motherhood.

She transitions back to her family slowly and will be up again hopefully for another visit. The puppies are being socialized with their Aunties and their Dad. Auntie Libby is a push over, Auntie Belle they must listen too and Dad is just darn fun to chase around. They all want to be like him when they grow up.

This is our first all boy litter and you can see lots of canine dog boy behavior going on. They climb, they roll, they sneak and leap on each other and love to explore. When the big dogs bark we see a rapid run behind the big dogs and then look around to see what is up. Jeff is the food person, I am the lap. This week is beginning of crate training and at the end of the week is their neutering surgery where we go quiet and have no visitors while they recoup.  This week we also finalize their names and details for their microchip and shots/travel arrangements.

Huey we think will be called Liberty’s Blue Steel (but the jury is still out!), Dewey is Liberty’s Casey Mak, and Louie will be Liberty’s Victorious Barley.

In the middle of a semi circle sign board purchased at Goodwill and now acrylic basd painted I want a drawing of a labradoodle. The edges will have things that grow on Doodle acres. This is how I see it in my mind. We will see! So I worked on a pencil drawing of Chief first then erased the lines and cleaned it up. This is only my second time I worked in pencil drawing but was lots of fun. Here was the beginning drawing, just to get me where I wanted to go:

Here is the final line drawing that will be in the middle of our sign I think. Still have to ponder it.

And, it is already noon and I have not even started my “chore list”. Doodling yet again at Doodle Acres!

April 7, 2013.  Please note- not all Diamond brands were produced on the affected plant manufacturing lines. Phillips receives products from numerous Diamond plants.  Also, no cat or can skus are affected.

I will post the puppies 6 week photos tonight. They are getting harder to take a picture of as they have people to meet and places to go!

Louie was the first to venture off and leave the safety of mom as they had some outside time (in the living room). Then before we knew it off goes Huey and Dewey down the hall! Izzy as a first time mom tried to herd them back, but each was going in a separate direction!

Enjoy the photos! In a few weeks, they will be blurs as they start running with abandon!
