SPRING!

Well, I have been away for a while. Not physically but webwise.  The computer I use for “business” has been limping along needing new software updates and running out of storage (perhaps it is all the videos and pictures I take?). The day of reckoning came at the worst time, while I was working on taxes. 🙂  And of course I back up; to several sources but restoration and serial keys and updates are so time consuming. I am still trying to remember a password to microsoft when I purchased some online updates. I only get a few attempts then am locked out. So now back to pen and paper just when I was trying so hard to go “paperless”.  I going to just ramble to get you all caught up. Excuse grammar and typos. I am going to just doodle away. 🙂

Long winter followed by taxes and the burden of paperwork always reminds me; under the piles and once filed. “The Quickening” as old farmers call it. When the earth rest from the winter is over and  things start popping and greening. Green grass, flowers, cadbury malted milk easter eggs, gardening/seed catalogs are popping up everywhere!  Wahoo! (note to garden people, you must get territorial seed catalog! )

Jeff has been working on the area we are calling the puppy play yard and we hope to add a bit of agility training components. Belle, now retired I am sure will be off the charts in having a job to do and out perform others, she is so “like that”.  Libby performs but only for goodies and pats and she is a lover; not into competition.

I had planned on a watercolor painting workshop the first weekend “down”, so that took much of my time and I was very lucky to have Bonnie (Bosley and Annie’s mom) share some time with me and escape into primal colors. We painted forests and trees and snow; light reflection, dark shadows and bamboo and banana trees. Was a great escape for a little while.  (Note to puppy owners, Bonnie gets Bark magazine and then shares. Love it and you must look into it!).

So, what’s new with the doodles? Well, Tuck has been adopted and now lives in Bend. He is adorable and feel instantly at home with his new mom and dad. His new family loves him and he has a huge back yard and a home that already has doggie doors installed. He is going to be an only child for the time being.

Scooter and Norman had their “surgery” last Friday, with this Friday being the first day we noticed they were fully recovered and bouncy, bouncy boys. Norman has been adopted and will be joining his family in San Francisco area soon. His mom is on a trip so we are holding him for her. His new name is Bailey and he is “just what the Doctor ordered”. I think his soon to be mom, Amy, should smile at that line. 🙂

And then there was Scoot. With doing taxes, surgery, and weekend visits with Tuck’s family we have ponder Scooter now. I thought he had a perfect family in Boston but perhaps there is another home that is meant for him.

I have not been able to setup my email on my computer (password, password, what is that password?). I have been reading on my phone and online. Forgive me for my typos when I text on my phone. I tried doing the voice to text but do get some interesting missed words. Makes me wonder if I have a lisp or is my phone a bit to smart to be a smart phone? I had some great photos of our puppies that have grown or growing come in the email. It is so great to watch them and catch up. Kizer’s Grace had her “surgery” yesterday as she officially retires from breeding.

We will be working on several projects during this break as we are back on track with our puppy calendar. Our big dogs finally get more walking time as the weather improves, family health  improves, and baby puppies have enough shots under the belts for more doodling ventures.

We have the three up and coming dogs to test, all living with wonderful guardian homes. Then we have our Izzy from the Netherlands, almost ready for her maiden voyage into motherhood if all goes well with mother nature around August we think.  We have to go take pictures of her and visit with her family to update Carolien, her breeder.

Our daughter and future son in law have picked a date for their wedding and now I am trying to talk them into having Daisy be the ring bearer. 🙂 Of course, she should have a dress or veil or something?

That’s my updates for while I was “away”.  I will be working on software stuff later tonight and hopefully update photos and the website. I am “off the grid” 🙂 for a bit as there are puppies to exercise, errands to run and a flight to book for Bailey. 🙂 And I also have some mushroom compost and I know how to use it. Our garden beds are going to be so happy this year!
