First Kibble Video

Yesterday we had Lucy’s foster family up to see the puppies and the puppies get some experience with kids. It has been a busy week for the puppies.
It started with their first taste of wet food ending with softened kibble with their wet food. As you can imagine puppies eating for the first time is sticky and messy. Here is a video of their first taste of softened kibble with their meat. They really loved it!

They also had a bath for the first time, something they were not really that excited about. The water they did not mind but I think it was the feeling of being all wet they were not happy about. Mom was there to let them know it was okay.
This week you will also notice that they show up a bit teary. This is normal during this week and next as they have eye guard hairs that are growing and will soon be long enough to grow down instead of towards the eye.
Lucy is sharing her puppies with her mom, Blossom (pet name Daisy) now and Blossom loves to play Grandmother and show off the puppies to visitors.
pictured above you can see the “puppy play pen” the puppies home for another 2 weeks. There is a small door close to the floor where the puppies learn to use the “doggie door trainer” to come in and out. Yes, when you come to visit our puppies prepare to sit on the floor.
