Romeo and Juliet

(Here are the long awaited pictures of Romeo and Juliet and an update email. Thank you! Having two is not something I recommend for just anyone. This was the perfect family to have two of our doodles, and the fact they are “twins” and called Romeo and Juliet does make it a lovely valentines post. Thank you again!)…~Vicky

I am so happy that the photos brought a smile your way. I
must say, (Daniel would concur) having 2 litter mates has been without a doubt a fantastic!

We often comment it is actually a lot easier
to have 2. They get to to keep each other entertained, have the joy
of venturing into new experiences together, and motivate each other to be their best puppy self.

Their personalities wonderfully compliment
one another. We refer to Romeo as our lover boy. He has never been
mouthy, a jumper or likely to do anything he knows he shouldn’t. Very
well behaved and full of cuddles and kisses. He has what we’ve termed
a very “complex personality”. I often take him to work with me as my
Therapy Dog. He is very mellow, relaxed, and brings lots of comfort to
my clients. Juliet has a very bright, friendly and vivacious spirit.
She excels at everything! She wants to say hi and socialize with
everyone. At home, she is so so sweet. She also likes to test her
limits with a glee in her eye.

Daniel and I started them early on with basic routines that has
served us all very well. They are exceptionally patient with amazing
impulse control. Recently, we have been in classes 3 days a week. They
have excelled at everything. We love to take them on daily walks, go to
doggie parks, walks on the beach, and believe it or not….. their
groomers every 2 weeks. We were fortunate to find someone our Vet
referred who combines doggie day care with lots of pampering. Romeo and
Juliet love, love. love, to play and romp with other dogs. It is
bringing out Romeo’s masculine side. At this point, Romeo is the one
that is likey to vocalize with a bark or two. Have never heard Juliet’s
bark. She prefers to whine. They both have amazing speed and agility.
We hope to get them enrolled in an agility class soon. It must be the
“identical twin” factor, but they get so much attention.

No matter where we go they draw a crowd. People even stop their cars to comment on
them.

No matter where we take them they are amazingly mellow. They will
just sit at our feet. People always comment on how well behaved and calm
they are.

As you can tell… Daniel and I are very proud puppy
parents. At this point, we don’t anticipate too many surprises during
the teenager phase. It makes them happy to do the right thing and make
us happy. We are very fortunate and blessed! Weight … Romeo has
surpassed Juliet now. His girth is filling out. He is coming in at 20
and Juliet at 19. Will be curious to see how much more they will grow.
Well, I could go on and on. I will save more for another time. So
glad for the Sib updates! Happy Valentines Day to all.
