The Spring Puppies in one post

It is getting close to puppy/family pairing time (aka allocation) and we still have some puppies available. I have several apps in but they are waiting to see who is available before putting a deposit down. I will describe the pups as best as possible to help with their selection. Some have already stated their preference but the choice happens in order of the application and deposit received. I also know my pups so they go to the right home or they don’t go. We have puppy visitors coming soon to make their pick and this is also for those who can’t visit but you can look and ponder.

First, the 4 week old (today!) Hamilton litter:

Moxie is a calm keeper of all others, she has a strong but gentle heart and has great concern for all the pups during this season. She loves her ball and her family but still is very caring of her babies and the other litters. Her coat is the most curly of the three and she has a queenly presence that the other dogs respect. She is not an alpha dog but just carries herself so well and I think of Jackie Kennedy as she goes about everyday routines. She just  owns her space with both people and other dogs.

This is funny to me but Alexander and Eliza Hamilton are always together and spoon when they sleep. 🙂 There is no one top dog alpha pup in the litter but I am guessing while watching them that Eliza might rule the group as Alexander will move over so she can eat. A true gentleman.

Lafayette is very sweet and spends his time between the spooners and Aaron. He is playful with all his litter mates. He loves mouthing them (no teeth yet, but soon!) and pulling on their ears.

Aaron is the smallest of the litter and to me he is a very laid back and easy kind of guy. He does not rush in for food (the others are starving) but eats slowly and is very much a mommy’s boy. He loves sleeping on Moxie’s front paws.

Next, the Clue litter:

They are all fabulous! If I was picking I would really struggle. This litter will have the straightest of the hair but it is still fleece. Their sweet personality and just the way they know people I just love.

Daphne has never met a stranger and she truly believes everyone wants to pet her. She wins over those who don’t like dogs time after time and has such a fun, sweet and loving little spirit. Really, aren’t I cute? Go ahead take a picture seems to be on her mind. But first she is a mom and loves her family and babies. As they get older she comes in and hangs out more with us in the living room. I think she will be the second to wean the litter.

Finally, the Game of Thrones Litter:

First litter of baby D, this is also a tough call again. Remember, I am grandmother to the moms so all are my favorite in each of their little ways.

They were born a day before the Clue litter and as a first time mom baby D is more of an over-achieving first mom where the other 2 are laid back having done it before. She is very attentive and is use to sleeping in the bed. She comes in, gets in our bed then shortly she needs to go check her babies. They have her sweet temperament and have developed faster than usual with their eyes opening, ears opening and now teeth. I think she will be the first to stop nursing as she is our smallest doodle and they are really loving their meat meal. Coat wise she is a bit curler than Daphne but still a fleece and they will all be large minis with the biggest being Khal.

She is figuring it out especially with baby teeth. She loves showing off her puppies “look what I did” to our social committee and her family when they visit.
